Office Assistant
Animal Rescue, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Office Assistant! We are in need of an animal (and people!) person who has good communication and organization skills. Individual needs to have care and compassion for animals, and an interest in educating the public on proper pet care. We are looking for a dedicated team player who wants to help make animals lives better!
Duties include greeting visitors, answering phones, tidying the front office, providing basic and accurate information in person and by phone, sorting mail, clerical duties (photocopying, data entry, faxing), and feeding the cats in office and at outdoor feeding stations. With this, the individual must clean the cat cages/condos in the front office each morning before we open to the public. Some computer skills required. Ability to lift 25 pounds is a plus.
Hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8AM-4PM. Applicant must be 18 years or older and Pay rate negotiable and dependent upon the individual’s experience.
Weekend Medical Caregiver
Do you love animals and enjoy working independently? If you’re looking for a rewarding, part-time position, apply for our Weekend Medical Caregiver opening! Applicants must have animal caregiving experience. Vet tech experience is a plus! Applicants must be comfortable working with cats and dogs, and be focused and reliable. This position involves dispensing medications, cleaning and treating wounds and other basic medical care. Candidates must have a basic understanding of animal behavior and health, a basic understanding of disease control and prevention. Good observation and communication skills and self- motivation required. Applicants must be 18+ years old and have reliable transportation. This position is for Saturdays and Sundays from 7AM to 1-2PM. Flexibility to help fill other days/evenings is a plus!
Cat Caregiver
Our cat caregivers play an important role in the health, happiness and well being of the cats at our Rescue. Duties include but aren’t limited to cleaning and sanitizing cat areas to give the cats a happy, home-like atmosphere, feeding the cats and providing feedback to Rescue staff and volunteers. Other duties may be assigned. Applicant must be 18 years or older. Applicant must be comfortable working with cats, and have relevant personal or professional experience interacting with cats. Applicant must be comfortable interacting with dogs. Applicant must have reliable transportation. Applicant must be willing to work holidays. Days for this position are flexible, and hours are 8AM to 1PM/2PM. Applicant must be willing to work weekends.
